Why

The problems;

Globally there are over 1.5 billion vehicles in daily use, and most have legacy Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) of questionable efficiency.

The world market for vehicles is growing faster than the global manufacturing capacity (80m per annum)

The world’s vehicle manufacturing capacity (even if immediately switched to 100% EV) cannot replace these vehicles before the NEXT century, therefore we need an attractive, fast and economical method to convert ICE vehicles to EVs = FARSTE method = Farste Phoenix circular economy!

THE SOLUTION; FARSTE has developed the world’s only TOROID PCB RADAX electric motor, that is spectacularly efficient because of what we left out!

The FARSTE DRIVE is an ultra-light and ultra-efficient hub motor comprised of printed windings and Halbach array magnets.

By bolting the motor and brake disc directly to the wheel rim, we are concentrating forces at the perimeter. Therefore FARSTE is able to delete all of the heavy legacy drive components, such as the wheel centre, brake disc centre and axle surround.

Which lowers unsprung weight below that of an unpowered conventional legacy suspension/wheel configuration

This arrangement also negates any drive train energy losses, which are a minimum of 15% in both drive and regeneration
With no drive train, the FARSTE DRIVE has Round Trip Efficiency 30% better than any other EV

With less parts and no chassis modifications it is faster and cheaper to convert existing vehicles to Evs , even current Evs would benefit (Tesla range +20 to 30%)

Cavities created by removing bulky legacy components can be utilised for battery installations

And because FARSTE DRIVEs can be fitted to multiple wheels, they can spread the acceleration and regenerative braking to every wheel on a car, truck or train! Which allows 100% regeneration, with less tyre wear and negligible brake wear!

(a B-Double truck owner would save $1 per km)
